The perfect way to keep your dog clean between washes

Hi, my name’s Jen. I’m a mom of 2 kids and 3 dogs.

We’ve got Hendrix, a 12-week old Frenchie, Winnie, a Staffy and our oldest Roxy, a Jack Russell.

They’re family and I love them to bits.

But one thing I could live without are the number ones they leave all around the house.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve come home to find they’ve left me a mess to clean up.

First it was the ottoman, then the new carpet in the living room, and then the rug in the hallway. FML!

Roxy, our oldest, has recently developed bladder problems, which means more accidents, more often. We even had to move her bed closer to the back so she’d be able to make it outside in time, but even that didn’t seem to help. Poor thing.

We tried all the wee cleaners out there but none of them seemed to do the trick. Some often smelled worse than the wee itself!

I remember one spray I used smelled so bad the whole house smelled like radioactive rose!

Then there were brands of wee cleaner that weren’t too offensive in the smell department but hardly had the power to get the stains out.

It wasn’t a great situation.

The pee cleaner that changed my life

Then one day I was scrolling Instagram and saw that someone had sent me a message. I opened it up and saw it was from one of my good friends, who was also a pet mum.

She’d sent me a post for a slick looking product called Dog Wee Cleaner by Dr Lisa.

The product looked great but I’d never heard of Dr Lisa, so I did some research.

Turns out she’s a famous vet from Sydney Australia who’s done everything from work in emergency and critical care departments to starring on popular TV shows called “Bondi Vet” and “Dr Lisa to the Rescue”.

But then I read something that really resonated with me.

She started the DOG brand because she never could find pet products that lived up to her standards. So instead of just settling for inferior products she decided to make her own.

She sells all kinds of things from dog shampoos to poop bags and more.

The more I read the more impressed I became. But I was still a bit sceptical.

So I dug deeper online to see what made it different.

On the website it said that the wee cleaner was natural, which I’m all about. Plus it had odour-neutralising enzymes, a gorgeous scent and an innovative removable brush.

Having a brush as part of the product was something I’ve never seen and something that was quite intriguing.

They even touted that it would be your number one cleaner for number ones. I definitely lol’d at the one.

As I read through the ingredients I found myself nodding along. Plant-based,100% biodegradable, vegan friendly, made in Australia, recyclable aluminium bottle and recommended and used by vets.

Having tried almost every wee cleaner on the market I wasn’t sold just on write ups or even the 5-star reviews.

I had to see how it worked first hand.

Putting the wee cleaner to the ultimate test

It took about 3 days for Dr Lisa’s Wee Cleaner to arrive.

And of course, in that time there were several accidents. Of course. So I was more than excited when the package finally arrived at my doorstep.

The bottle looks even better in real life than online. It’s nice to have something well-designed that looks good around the house.

So now all I had to do was wait for one of my dogs to do what they do best. And I didn’t have to wait long.

I came home from a quick pop out to the shops to find Roxy, red-pawed in the middle of the act. That day she chose the hallway rug as her toilet of choice.

I raced over to grab the bottle and followed the instructions. I blotted up as much of the pee as I could with a cloth and then sprayed the wee cleaner all over the area.

The first thing I noticed was the super pleasant smell. It wasn’t overpowering but it did mask the wee smell really well. And the fact that I wasn’t coughing or running over to open all the windows was a big plus.

Once saturated, I used the base of the bottle which had a silicone brush to scrub the area. As I did, a thick lather formed and bubbled away. It then said to leave it to dry, so I did and went about feeding the pups and playing with them outside in the yard.

When I came back in to inspect the rug I couldn’t believe my eyes. Not only was the wee stain completely gone, but there was also no smell!

Finally I’d found a product that actually worked. One that cleaned like it said it would and did it without stinking up the whole house.

The whole family was over the moon, even the dogs.

You can buy Dr Lisa’s Wee Cleaner on a range of websites, including their own.

I can’t recommend Dr Lisa’s wee cleaner enough. If you’ve got pets, it’s only a matter of time before they have an accident and when they do, you’re going to want the best product on the market, on hand.

I even sent a bottle to my friend who first shared the post and she loves it too!
